Extended operations (> 2 weeks): Add shower trailers at 50+ personnel to maintain hygiene readiness and morale.

ADA requirements: Federal operations require at least one ADA-compliant unit (1-Stall ADA Combo or 3-Stall ADA Restroom) for any public-facing or multi-personnel deployment.

Combined needs: When both restroom and shower facilities are required but space is limited, consider the 3-Stall Combo Trailer to reduce site footprint.

Personnel welfare: For deployments over 30 days with 50+ personnel, add a Mobile Locker Room for secure personal storage and changing facilities.

Cold-weather operations: Add Heat Lock winterization to all trailers when operating at or below 32°F. Required to prevent freeze damage to plumbing systems.

Base Camp & Man Camp Setup

Proper site planning ensures efficient operations and easy servicing. Here are the key considerations for positioning temporary sanitation infrastructure.

Position trailers on level, compacted ground with adequate drainage
Allow minimum 10 feet clearance on all sides for service vehicle access
Orient trailer doors away from prevailing winds when possible
Ensure pump truck access to waste connections (typically rear or side of trailer)
Group restroom and shower trailers together to create a dedicated hygiene zone

Restroom trailers: 120V / 20 amp for HVAC, lighting, and hands-free fixtures
Shower trailers: 120V for circulation pumps and HVAC; propane for water heating
Laundry trailers: 240V / 50 amp for commercial washers and dryers
Multi-trailer camps: 30–50 amp generator recommended
Water/Waste Boxes: No shore power required — DC pump runs on deep-cycle battery
